If somebody had actually responded to the original thread nothing would've have happened but one thread posted, questions answered. It would've been pretty much like the big giant thread that then occured, just without the threadnaught occuring.
The problem is that it is apparently CCP policy to respond to anything like that with a lock, a delete and a "shut the hell up" rather than a "hey, we'll look into this."
CCP's CS is, quite frankly, pretty lousy in this respect. It's almost paranoid.
I had to call Pelican Products yesterday to get a replacement pin for a case handle. They sent me a pin for free (they're serious about their warrenty and reputation). If Pelican ran their CS folks like CCP it would've been:
Phelan: Hey, I had a pin go missing from a 1610.
Pelican: You little bastard! You pulled it out with pliers and threw it at an old lady! I'm hanging up and deleting every record that exists of this phone call and I hope you get AIDS!
And then the only way I could get a pin would be if I called them 1000 times saying "I need a pin."

Join FIX. They don't cheat, insult people, or anything like that because Jesus wouldn't like it.
